Crystal spheres
A sphere can be a focal object, but clarity, mineral type, and price do not establish an ability to predict events. You may use a glass sphere, a polished object you already own, or choose water instead. Rest a sphere in a secure stand so it cannot roll.
Keep transparent spheres away from direct sunlight: they can concentrate light and create a fire hazard. Store them covered or out of sunlight. Do not leave one on a sunny windowsill as decoration.
A sphere exercise
- Place the object securely under soft, indirect indoor light.
- Choose a prompt about your own attention or choices.
- Look gently at internal reflections and shapes for a short interval, blinking normally.
- Describe what you saw before giving it a meaning. A bubble or mineral inclusion may simply be a physical feature.
- Close with a practical next step and return the object to safe storage.
Cloud and landscape gazing
You can use changing cloud shapes as a creative prompt while sitting somewhere safe. Keep your gaze away from the sun. Notice one shape, describe it, and ask what personal association it evokes. The shape is not evidence that an outside force is sending a specific message.
Outdoor practice should suit the weather, your mobility, and the place you are in. A photograph of clouds can offer a similar reflective exercise without requiring travel or prolonged exposure.
Why smoke is optional
Smoke patterns appear in some contemporary divination practices, but burning material adds heat, smoke exposure, and cleanup. For this beginner library, we suggest water, a mirror, or a moving cloud image instead. The visual ambiguity does not require combustion.
Choose by comfort
If one method makes you strain to see something, try another or stop. A useful comparison is not “Which object is most powerful?” but “Which setup lets me observe calmly and return to my day?” Record your preferences without turning them into rules for everyone else.
