Roman soldiers carried tiger's eye into battle for bravery. In many cultures, it was believed to be an all-seeing eye that protected the wearer from curses and the evil eye.

Where it comes from
Tiger's eye comes mostly from South Africa and Australia. When you turn it in the light, a silky band of shimmer (chatoyancy) moves across the stone.
