What you'll need
A white candle, a journal, a pen, and three blank cards or pieces of paper. Tarot cards are optional.
Words to speak
“May I see clearly what is here, admit what remains unknown, and choose with patience.”
Say them as written, or put them in your own words — sincerity matters more than exact phrasing.
How to do it
Write these headings on the cards — What I know, What I assume, and What I need to learn — and lay them in a row beside the candle. Spend several minutes filling each with short, honest statements, noticing where a fear or wish has been treated as a fact. Hold your hands above the journal and speak the words. If tarot is part of your practice, draw one card as a reflective prompt (what perspective have I overlooked?) and record your interpretation without treating it as evidence or a command.
Afterward
Identify one fact to verify and one person whose perspective would help. Revisit the page after gathering that information, and keep the cards with your notes until you've made the decision.
- Never leave a candle or flame unattended. Burn paper only in a fireproof dish, away from curtains, pets and children.
- Spells support real-world action; they don't replace medical, legal, financial or safety help.
